Q: Can I continue only the dental and optical coverage of Cobra? My new health insurance at my new job offers only medical, no dental or optical. Can I continue only these two?

A:  You will be allowed to choose any or all of the coverages that you had with your previous employer.  On the election form ( that you will get from your employer) you will be able to select only the coverages you want.  You will be able to continue the dental and vision benefits with out electing the medical.  The maximum you can keep COBRA is 18 months.
