Q:  I have sent all the necessary paperwork and payment. I've looked at my bank statement and the check has been cashed. When will I know if my insurance has been reinstated? Am I going to receive a new insurance card, if so when? Or do I just use the one from my last job? I was also told that I would get reimbursed for any prescriptions I've needed. What do I need to send, the receipt? And to whom do I send it to?

A: COBRA is a continuation of the same benefits, same coverage you had before the qualifying event so you will be able to use the same ID card.  You should contact the insurance company by calling the phone number on your old ID card to confirm your COBRA coverage has been activated.  Also, the insurance company will instruct you on their reimbursement procedures.
