Q: I started a new job, my wife and I have only been covered under their insurance for a very short time.  Is there a minimal amount of time she needs to be "Covered" before she become eligible for COBRA?

A:  As long as your wife is enrolled your employer’s group health plan and they have more than 20 employees, she is eligible for COBRA.  The length of time you have been on the new employer's group plan is not a factor in your eligible for COBRA continuation.   If you are interested in a more affordable Alternative to COBRA, Click Here for more information.
