Q:  I would like to know how to add my newborn to our current cobra insurance. I just started cobra this month and my insurance holder said I would have to add our newborn son to our Cobra insurance.

A: When your baby is born, you should contact your previous employer where you initially signed up for COBRA about adding your newborn to the COBRA.  The may refer you to their COBRA plan administrator.  You have 30 days (from the birth date) to notify the previous employer or their plan administrator.
