Q:  How long can we make COBRA insurance available to an ex employee? We want to make the insurance available for approx 5 years. Is this a COBRA issue?

A:  The COBRA law states that the continuatoin be offered for a maximun of 18, 19 or 36 months of coverage, depending on the qualifying event.

If they are a healthy person(s) who does not live in NY, NJ, MA, or VT and would be interested in a lower cost Alternative to COBRA please Click Here  With this policy you have the ability to choose your deductible: $250, $500, $1000 or $2500.
