Q:  I have recently retired from a company where I had health insurance. I have just started an at home business.  The company I just retired from wants to hire my services as an independent Contractor. Can I still get Cobra insurance thru them and work for them as an independent contractor.

A: You will still be able to keep your COBRA coverage through your previous employer since you will not be an “active employee” and are working as an independent contractor. If you are interested in a more affordable Alternative to COBRA, Click Here for more information.
