Q:  I was fired from my job after 4 years I have had insurance with the company for about 2 years. Am I eligible for Cobra? They have over 20 employees and they are not a church.

A:  Being fired is one of the qualifying events for COBRA.  As long as you were not fired for “gross misconduct” your employer must offer you COBRA.  The employer or their COBRA plan administrator will mail you the paperwork to sign up.  If are interested in a lower cost Alternative to COBRA please click here.
