Q:  I am a past employee at a company and was just offered Cobra. My premium is $319.31. My questions are; what are the co-payments for doctors and prescriptions and do I have to meet a deductable first?

A:  If you decide to sign up for COBRA, it will be the same continuation of coverage that you had while employed at your company.  The co-payments for doctors and prescriptions, and your deductable will remain the same as before.  The insurance coverage and company do not change.  The only difference is you are required to pay 100% of the health care premium (what you were paying out of your check and what your previous employer was paying) and up to an additional 2% administration that can be added by your COBRA administrator.
