A: It is your responsibility to pay for the COBRA continuation and to make sure it is paid on time. Since COBRA is a federal law and not an insurance company, each plan will vary based on how a previous empolyer set it up. You need to contact your previous employer or plan administrator.Be sure to keep the address and phone of the plan administrator in a safe place.They may also be included in the COBRA packet you initially received.
