Q:  I see that my checks for payment have been cashed.  I still have not received notification that I am covered with Kaiser Permanente. Help. I am receiving bills as if I have not medical coverage.

A:   You should contact your previous employer or your COBRA administrator to make sure you are signed up for the COBRA continuation.  Also, by law your previous employer or COBRA administrator has up to 30 days to process the paperwork which includes your payment information.  Once everything is process your coverage will go retro-active to your last day of coverage.  If you paid for any bills out of pocket, you should be able to submit the bills to your insurance company and get reimbursed.
