Q:  My husband and I are not divorced, but we are not living together, I have coverage for him on my job with my plan, open enrollment is coming up, and I do want to take him off the plan can I legally not cover him on my plan if I chose not when open enrollment comes up?

A:  You should contact your current employer and see what policies they have in place regarding your question.  You should also inform your husband that you will be removing him so he can make other arrangements for his insurance.
