Q:     My COBRA payment seems pretty expensive. Why is that?

A:    When you elect COBRA coverage you are responsible for paying the full premiums of that group health plan. You will be paying the portion you normally pay and the employer’s portion of the premium. The employer can add up to a 2% administrative fee. Generally, you can not be charged more than 102% of the applicable premium.
