Q:  My wife’s condition is not covered at this time because it occurred before enrollment. Will it be covered when she elects cobra when divorced.

A:  COBRA is the name of a federal law. COBRA contains provisions giving certain former employees, retirees, spouses and dependent children the right to temporarily continue their health coverage at group rates.  If your wife signs up for COBRA she would be offered the same coverage she had while on the group plan.  If your wife’s condition was not covered under the group plan, then your wife’s condition would not be covered under COBRA.
