Q:  Who can help me? My COBRA dental benefits were canceled due to non-payment. Although I have every canceled check since I began paying for COBRA dental. This was an error made by my former employer. I have contacted them and have been corresponding with them since about 12/19/08. I found out today my COBRA benefits were canceled as of 02/02/09. HELP!

A:  Hi.  Normally, you contact your previous employer/cobra administrator regarding your continued Cobra plan.  Since you are not having any luck, you can try calling the insurance company your dental insurance is through or the Dept of Labor (they enforce cobra laws) to see what you have to do.  DOL:  866-487-2365.
