Q:  I received a quote from SAS and when filling out the application was asked if I'd had any chest pain in the last 5 years. I had a panic attack over a year ago and with that came a symptom of slight chest pain. It's the only time I've ever had it, as I was in the middle of an attack. The hospital cleared me and I was fine and have been fine. SAS has denied me, and told me to contact you, Cobra, directly to find out how I can be insured. I need this info as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.

A:  You have to contact your previous employer to obtain your Cobra packet to extend your coverage. Cobra will cover any pre-existing conditions and is retro-active to the date your insurance ended. No lapses.
