Q:  Hello, I have an employer who had an employee terminate covrerage on 12/18/08. She waived Cobra, then went to the doctor, they found a lump somewhere, now she wants to re-elect Cobra. Will that service/claim be covered or will she have to pay in full? And then when would her Cobra actually start?

A:  An employee has up to sixty-days to sign up for the Cobra from the last day of coverage.  After the Cobra payment has been made,  she will be covered retroactive.
