Q:  Is there minimum  length of employment required to qualify for COBRA? Let's say you were working for less than a year, can you still qualify upon termination?

A:  As long as you have obtained health insurance from your employer you are eligible for the continuation coverage. The length of employment is not a factor for determining eligibility.
