Q:I left my job on 01/15/09 and was told by my former employer I would receive info in the mail from Cobra to continue my coverage. It has been 6 wks now and I have not gotten any info. Can someone please contact me asap so I can make sure I have health coverage? Thanks
A:By law your previous employer has 45 days to send you the information to continue your coverage on Cobra.If you have not received that information you need to contact your previous employer to verify that they have sent that information out.It will not come from a company called Cobra.There is no such thing, Cobra is a federal law not a company.
