Q:  I got hurt at work and was put on a voluntary LOA I was never called back to work and as a result of a WC case I had to resign, they try to keep me from getting unemployment but I appealed the decision and won-they are doing the same with my benefits-lying about what happened to me!! Am I eligible for the reduced insurance? My last day of work was 09-14-07

A:  You would be eligible for your Cobra coverage, because your company has more than 20 employees and you were on a group health plan when you were employed.  They by law have 45 days to send you the Cobra packet to sign up.  However, they are the ones who would be able to tell you if you meet the requirements for the reduction in your premium.  If you are having further problems or question you should contact the Department of Labor at 866-444-3272
