Q:  In the event that my former employer does not give me the cobra information what can I do?

A:  If your company employs more than 20 people and there is a group health plan in force, Cobra should be an option to you.  Unless you were let go due to gross misconduct, your previous employer by law has 45 days to send you Cobra information and how to sign up.  If you have further problems you can try contacting the Department of Labor or visit their website at www.dol.gov
