Q:  My spouse has high blood pressure which she takes medication for on a daily basis. I assume this is a pre-existing condition, but I did not see any alternate plans that allowed for such. Are there any alternate plans to my employer COBRA extension plan?

A:  Our Cobra Alternative temporary plans do not cover any pre-existing conditions.  They are meant to cover you in case anything catastrophic was to happen to you while you are not on an employer’s group health plan.  If you had recently lost a job and Cobra was an option and you wanted this specific condition covered, I would recommend taking the Cobra coverage.
