Q:As a full time employee can my employer charge me Cobra rates? Is there a difference between health insurance coverage and Cobra rates?
A:As a full time employee if your company offers a group health insurance you would pay those costs. If you were to be terminated or lose your job, you would be eligible for Cobra.Cobra is a federal law that allows you to continue your benefits after you’ve lost your job. Therefore if you are employed and under a group health plan through you Company I don’t see why you would be paying Cobra rates.
