Q:  I am recently divorced and my ex was ordered by the court to provide for me cobra insurance and to pay for it. For 36 months I have not received any information as to whether I am covered yet so how do I go about finding out if he has applied me for it and if he has paid for it? And how long will it take for me to be covered?

A:  To find out if you are covered and what your benefits entail, you would need to contact your husband’s employer.  That is who your Cobra coverage would be coming through, as far as how long it will take for you to be covered.  As long as he filled out the enrollment form you should be good to go.  To verify that, you will need to talk with his employer.
