Q: If an individual has quit his job and thinks it will take three months to find a new position what area of Cobra can this person investigate for health coverage can it be Cobra Alternative, Cobra Part Pay, COBRA single coverage. 2-What two documents must be sent to all employees who qualify for cobra is it the Initial notice and qualifying notice? 3-Does Cobra apply to church related organizations.
A: If you only need 3 months of coverage in case anything major were to happen to you, and you are not wanting the co-pays and such and just want to be sure your covered in case anything serious were to happen, a Cobra alternative would be a great option. As far as if Cobra applies to a church related organization, I do not think a church organization has to offer Cobra coverage. To verify this information I would recommend talking to you employer of the church.
