Q:  As a retiree of Delta Air Lines, I am enrolled in the Delta Employees Medical Plan and Delta agrees to allow me to continue with this plan until I am eligible for Medicare. I am now 58 years old. Is this considered a COBRA plan?

A:  No. COBRA is a continuation of their employer's group health plan, but it generally lasts up to 18 months from the qualifying event. With COBRA you are responsible for paying 102% of the monthly premiums.  Your employer may be offering you a benefit package for their retiring employees.
