Q:  A friend of mine has cobra that will be running out in June. She is in the hospital having a bone marrow transplant so I am wondering if there is any way to extend the coverage.

A:  You need to call your State Department of Insurance to see if there is anything they can do for you.  Unfortunately, you cannot extend your Cobra once you have used it for its full duration which is often times up to 18 months.
