Q:My husband is retiring and has signed up for Cobra; however, his Cobra will not extend to Medicare age. Does the state of Tennessee have a HIPAA plan or the equivalent that offers continued coverage after Cobra? If so, will it cover pre-existing conditions?
A:You are going to need to contact your insurance carrier to see if that is going to be an option to you.On the back of your insurance card, there should be a number that you can reach them directly and ask them what options are available to you in this situation.
