Q: I have not worked since 3/31/09 I have sent my paperwork and payment and still waiting for 2 months I need prescriptions which I have now spent over 1800.00 and can’t afford to wait another month without insurance. I don’t understand what is the problem all paperwork I paid for next day mail so you would get it quick still no response. Please help.
A: Unfortunately, we are not Cobra. I don’t have any access to that information. We offer alternative plans to your Cobra coverage. If you have sent in all the necessary information and sent a payment in and have heard nothing, you need to contact your Cobra administrator and find out what is going on. If you have any paperwork from when you sent information in, there may be a number on there to reach them directly as well as if you can’t find that information. Call your previous employers HR department or their benefits department. They are who sent you the information to sign up for Cobra, they may be able to inform you of your benefits status or put you in contact with the person handling your benefits.
