Q:  We have moved out of state, does our insurance have to provide us coverage in our new state with our new provider and at what cost?

A:  Your employer is required by law to offer you the continuation of their group health policy for up to 18 months if there are more than 20 employees and they are not a church organization.  Your employer should contact the US Department of Labor at 1-866-487-2365 or www.dol.gov    The DOL will inform your employer of their legal responsibilities to comply with COBRA laws.  If you do not receive the paperwork with in the 45 days, then you should contact the US Department of Labor.
