Q:  1. I just qualified for Medicare. Do I have to take Part B if I am still covered by Cobra? 2. If I take Part B, does it change my premium for Cobra? 3. If it does change it, to what? 4. How long am I covered by Cobra?

A:  On Cobra you can be on it up to 18 months, as far as how Medicare is going to affect your coverage, you need to speak with either your Cobra administrator (a third party administrator hired out by your past employer) or your past employers HR department.  They are the ones whom handle your benefits so you should speak with them about your coverage and how it is going to be affected.
