Q:  Can a Cobra participant keep on cobra (still in their 18 month period) even if they are offered participation in another group insurance plan as a new hire? If they waive the new plan, can they keep on cobra until the next open enrollment period with the new company?

A:  You can continue on your Cobra even though you are employed by an employer who has health insurance, if you are on the Cobra stimulus were you are receiving a reduction in your premiums, you are no longer eligible for the reduction, but you can stay on Cobra.
