Q:  I was injured on the job and I’m currently receiving L & I compensation. My current insurance ends at the end of September. Because I will not be able to return to work until about 6 months after coverage ends do L & I pay for continuing insurance?

A:  You would need to speak to your employer and ask them what they are going to do with your coverage.  Are they going to keep you on the group health plan for a short time frame, are they going to give you the option for Cobra until you can return to work, or maybe you have some sort of workman’s comp they are going to pay for your benefits.  But you need to speak with them as to find out what they are going to do in regards to your health coverage.
