Q:  How long after my first payment does it take for COBRA to activate the computer systems so I don't have to pay out of pocket for my prescriptions?

 

A:  If you are having trouble with your COBRA coverage being active, I would recommend calling your past employer to verify your benefits.  Either the HR/benefits Department should be able to answer your questions, or they can put you in contact with your COBRA administrator, a 3rd party administrator handling your benefits.  They should be able to let you know what is going on with your coverage and as to why its saying not active.
