Q:  I am disabled. My insurance coverage expired 9/14/2009. I have a pre-existing condition, so will need to go on Cobra. I am just waiting for the paperwork from my employer. My wife does not have any pre-existing conditions. Can she get alternative coverage while I'm on Cobra? If so, how long, or can she keep the alternative insurance?

A:  With Cobra coverage you can choose to be the only one that elects the coverage, and have your wife who is eligible for an alternative take an alternative.  If you would like to view the alternative plans we have available to your wife simply click the following link to see what we have for her.  If you would like to discuss it further don’t hesitate to call me directly at 877-279-7959 x 219
