Q: If I am enrolled in Medical and Dental Benefits under COBRA and later become entitled to Medicare I know that I must drop my medical coverage under COBRA, but can I retain my dental coverage under COBRA?

A:  Once an employee is entitled to Medicare they are no longer allowed to continue on the employer’s group health plan this includes dental and vision. If you have a spouse or any dependants, they may take advantage of COBRA continuation.
