Q:My cobra is expiring next month and I am still not employed, what can I do and how can I extend my cobra?
A:As to my knowledge, I don’t believe you can extend your coverage.Once you have used your 18 months, if you do not have a qualifying event your coverage is going to end.You would have to talk to your past employer, who’s health insurance plan you are continuing on to see if you are still eligible for Cobra or can get a continuation.
