Q:  How do I add my 3 children to my COBRA plan? Is there a separate plan for them? Do I have to apply for a family plan? I cannot seem to contact anyone on the phone. I prefer the phone method.

A:  If you are on COBRA through a past employer and are continuing on their group plan you would either need to speak with them or your Cobra administrator the person handling your benefits.  Your employer should be able to give you that information as well.

Just a heads up, if your children were not on your plan when you were working there they will not be eligible to be under your Cobra coverage.  Cobra is available for anyone on the plan before they lose a job, therefore if they were not on the plan when you were working, you cannot add them to it now.
