Q:  My husband and I are going through a divorce. I am now pregnant with another man's child, and I have gotten on my husband's COBRA plan. Will COBRA cover my pregnancy? Will my baby be covered at birth?

A:  Cobra is a continuation of the same insurance you had when your husband was working, if his plan covered maternity it will cover the pregnancy.  You may need to take out your Cobra plan and not be on the Cobra coverage with your husband.  You would need to speak to his employer or your Cobra administrator to verify that and if so get on your own coverage.  You should also be able to add the baby onto the plan as well but would need to let your administrator know of the addition.
