Q:  My husband was laid off Sept 30th. We (spouse and dependants, too) have cobra coverage through his previous employer. He has now gotten a new job, but it doesn’t include any insurance for my children or me. Can we continue on Cobra till we find a plan for us? Thank you.

A:  You can continue the Cobra coverage for just you and the children, you need to speak with your Cobra administrator the person handling your Cobra benefits or your husbands past employer should be able to help you as well.  They can get your family taken care of as far as getting your husband off the coverage and getting the new premium as far as if that is going to change.
