Q:  I have no previous insurance, do not qualify for Medicaid, and haven't worked since 2008. Will I be able to be qualified for your insurance if I'm pregnant without insurance?

A:  The plans that we offer, Cobra Alternatives, do not cover pregnancy.  Since you haven’t had insurance in that long, Cobra isn’t an option to you.  Cobra isn’t something you can just sign up for, it’s a continuation of the same insurance you had after you have lost your job.  Therefore, you aren’t going to be able to find your own individual coverage with that condition, I recommend calling your State Department of Insurance to see if there is anything through the State they can offer you.
