Q:  I can't afford to pay the amount due for continuing medical insurance for myself and need to be seen by a doctor. My insurance expired through my job over 8 months ago. Am I out of luck?

A:  With Cobra you can only continue your benefits if you enroll in the time frame, they have 45 days from you last day of benefits to send you your Cobra packet and you have 60 days to elect the coverage from when you receive it.  If you are out of that time frame, you may be out of luck for Cobra.  You could find your own individual coverage or call your State Department of Insurance to see what they have to offer.  To view a plan I have available simply click the following link:  http://www.corehealthinsurance.com/launch.aspx?refnumber=000006972-051-972&roi=FAQ
