Q:  My spouse is retiring. We both will be covered under her health insurance until she reaches the age of 65 when she is dropped and goes on Medicare or something. I will only be 64 at this "event". Can I still apply for COBRA?

A:  You should be able to continue on Cobra due to your qualifying event, you would need to get this information from your Cobra administrator the person who handles your Cobra benefits.  They would be able to give you the information for you to change the coverage from the two of you to coverage just for yourself since he will be on Medicare.
