Q:  I have Crohn’s disease and I was laid off by my job.  I need a short term plan with a PPO.  What is the best plan for me?  The plans offered online are for non-pre existing conditions.  Do you offer any for people who have a pre-existing condition and need health insurance?

A:  The best option for you is to continue on Cobra, you would need to get a Cobra packet from your past employer.  Cobra is a continuation of your same Insurance you had when you were working, so it will cover your Crohns disease.  The short term plans you are looking at online, those are short term alternative plans, but do not cover pre-existing conditions.  To view a guaranteed acceptance plan, no medical questions asked you can simply click the following link:  http://www.corehealthinsurance.com/launch.aspx?refnumber=000006972-051-972
