Q:  Explain the difference in Federal VS  State Continuation of COBRA.  I am trying to enroll an employee online on our insurance and I must select one of the following: - Federal Continuation - State Continuation

A:  The Federal COBRA is a continuation of the same exact Insurance you had through the past employer, and COBRA is an option if the Company has more than 20 employees.  If the Company has less than that, and COBRA isn’t an option they can contact their State to see if the State offers a Mini-COBRA through the State.
