Q:I have been denied for reinstatement. I made a bank error in auto-pay so payment was not submitted. I appealed under the direction of the administrator of the insurance, being told that they normally reinstate when you've never been late previously. They denied my request and say they will not reconsider. Meanwhile I had some medical expenses, not knowing I was not covered during that period of time. Is there anything I can do?
A:You can possibly see if you can appeal you losing your COBRA coverage, but to find out the process of doing so I would recommended talking with the Department of Labor to see if they can tell you how to do so, or which direction to go in to submit it.You can visit their website at www.dol.gov/COBRA or call 866-444-3272.
