Q:  My wife is pregnant and we are moving to a new state for work.  However, they new job does not offer me health insurance. We are currently covered under her work's plan. If we move to Michigan will cobra cover us?  She works for a company of 20 or more people.

A:  Cobra is a continuation of the same Insurance she had when she was working, so it will cover the pregnancy.  You just need to talk to your Insurance Company or your Cobra administrator to see if the Insurance will cover you outside of the State you lived in while she was covered.  Because it’s a new continuation of the same Insurance, you need to make sure you have providers in Michigan and that the coverage will cover you.
