Q:  What are the differences in coverage with COBRA and Cal-COBRA?

A:   You should have the same benefits as other employee's that are covered under the same plan. You are eligible for open enrollment choices, and you are eligible for other health plan changes that the employer makes.  Both plans do not have a pre-existing clause. If you do make the change from your Federal COBRA coverage to your state issued Cal-COBRA, the vision and dental plans do not have to be offered to you.
