Q: How long do I have to sign up for cobra after I leave my job?

A: You have 60 days from the date of the loss of coverage to elect COBRA. Your employer legally has up to 45 days to get to you the information you need to elect COBRA, and you have 15 additional days to elect it. After that time, you cannot elect COBRA.
