Q:  I was wondering what the out of pocket expense is going to be for Cobra insurance?

A:  COBRA is a continuation of your employer’s group health policy.  It is the same benefits and coverage that you had when you where working,  sam deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance. You will need to contact your benefits manager or plan administrator for detailed benefit information.

The cost for COBRA is based on what you were paying for insurance (deducted from your payroll), plus what your employer paid for your portion of the insurance and a 2% administrative fee.
