Q: I added my spouse to insurance and before that two months back she was pregnant, we were not aware of that. Does COBRA covers this?

 A:  COBRA is a continuation of your previous employer's group health policy.  If there is coverage for pregnancy on that health plan than there will be coverage for the pregnancy through COBRA continuation. Your newborn child can be added on to COBRA for additional premiums.  You will be able to remain on COBRA for up to 18 months or until you and your family can be enrolled on your new employer's group health.
